TFNU is currently hiring an Accounting Specialist. The Accounting Specialist is the primary position focused on accounting for the Trails Foundation of Northern Utah (TFNU). Other key duties include: TFNU Membership Campaign oversight, donation management, volunteer management, and maintaining and organizing TFNU documents.

Recently, we had an amazing volunteer who had a few hours to donate and we put him to work. Between the winter and the recent wind, we knew the trails near the North Ogden Divide could use some clean up love so that’s where we sent him.

Nominations will open soon for the annual Richard S. White Friend of The Trails Award. This yearly award, created in memory of our dear friend, Dr. Richard S. White, is awarded to the person, or persons, who have continued on with Richard’s legacy with significant and lasting service to the trail systems here in Northern Utah.

As we begin another year, I find myself reflecting on the journeys we have taken, the challenges we have overcome, and the paths we have forged these past 12 months. Some of these paths are the trails in Northern Utah and others are the connections to our community partners, landowners, volunteers and board, staff and all others involved in making the Trails Foundation of Northern Utah an important piece of the puzzle that enhances and preserves our trail system.

North Ogden Big Rock Trailhead Ribbon Cutting

North Ogden City recently dedicated an updated trailhead near the Big Rock / Gravel Pit Trailhead. About 20 people showed up for the event, including Blake Cevering and Jay D Dapais, two members of the North Ogden City Council. In addition to paving the current trailhead parking lot, an additional parking area just south of the area was paved and added.

The Trail Mixer on Thursday, October 26th was a blast! We here at the TFNU Office can’t stop talking about how much fun it was to celebrate the trails together. We are so grateful for such an amazing community. Our hearts are full.
We were so excited for all the people that completed the Peak Challenge and we thank you for coming to the event and celebrating with us. It was great to meet so many of you that we already knew from photos!
