Track your steps all summer long with your free pedometer. At the end of the summer, those with the most steps will be awarded some awesome prizes!
Sponsored by R.AM.P and Ogden Clinic.
Hosted by Weber-Morgan Health Department and Weber Pathways
In 2007 we created a group called 'Trail Trekkers', consisting of people who use Weber County's great trail system.
The purpose was to develop a sponsorship for Weber Pathway's annual summer TGI Fiesta fundraiser at the MTC Park. TGI Fiesta is on August 20th, and includes a social, games, music, dinner and auction.
The cost to join is $100 which goes to the planning, promoting and protecting of those great non-motorized public trails we are fortunate to have in Weber County.
All joining 'Trail Trekker' names will be placed in a hat, and 12 names will be drawn. Each name drawn will receive one ticket to the event. Winners of the tickets will be notified the week prior to the Fiesta. Trail Trekkers will also have their names placed in the raffle with a chance to win a brand new beach cruiser bicycle at the event!
Last year we had thirty 'Trail Trekkers'. This year our goal is fifty.

Thank you and happy hiking!
If your family, friends, or company would like to help maintain our trails you can sign up for our Adopt-A-Trail program!
We are currently working with Ogden City to adopt out sections of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail.
Duties of each volunteer group shall consist of the following:
1. Schedule two clean up projects in the year to repair trail signs (as needed) and cut back any overgrown brush of the trail section adopted.
2. Keeping trail section and trailhead free of trash, placing trash in designated containers or areas with provided trash bags from Weber Pathways.
3. Note and report any damage to trail facilities immediately to trails supervisor (Ogden City).
4. Submit post clean-up report to Weber Pathways

There are many ways to volunteer for Weber Pathways! From large groups to individual and one-time to on-going projects, there is certainly something for everyone. We encourage volunteers to use their own skills and interests to co-create a volunteer experience that is both fun and rewarding.
Help us build and upgrade trails, install trail signs, repair fencing, clear downed trees and branches, pull invasive weeds, or collect trash.
These volunteers will be leading others on the trails. Outings include hiking, mountain biking, dog walks, snowshoeing, and anything else non-motorized! Outings can also be themed or educationally oriented such as history, flora, fauna, “moonlight hikes”, geology, geocaching, photography, plein art, etc. Volunteers can also lead outings specific for adults, kids, or families.
Volunteers will get to choose what type of outing they would like to lead, the time and date of the outing, and how often they would like to lead outings (even once is ok!). All volunteers will attend a volunteer orientation before the start of the outings season. Training will cover safety, flora/fauna, trail etiquette, and trail descriptions.
If you are new to the trails but would still like to volunteer, our training will include guided outings. As a public outings leader, you will be an important part in developing a stronger, healthier, more environmentally-friendly community.
Help Weber Pathways at events, in web site administration, data base/mail list design and maintenance, graphics arts, writing, or general office support.
