Be Nice. Pick up Trash.

March 19

Recently, we had an amazing volunteer who had a few hours to donate and we put him to work. Between the winter and the recent wind, we knew the trails near the North Ogden Divide could use some clean up love so that’s where we sent him. Here’s what he had to say:

“The North Ogden (trailhead area) was so much dirtier than I expected! I was totally unprepared for that much broken glass and filled all my bags.
I was totally blown away by how much garbage was on the trails. I tend to pick up the obvious stuff when I go on hikes but it was very eye opening to go just off the trail and see how much was there when you looked for it specifically. I already put trash bags into my hiking pack for all my future hikes.

I really appreciate that organizations like yours are out there to take care of our trails!”

And we appreciate all of our volunteers. Thank you!
