Janet Skeen

Janet was born and raised in Ogden, Utah, and completed all of her schooling here, graduating from Weber State with a degree in Police Science.  She fought forest fires in Idaho as a seasonal employee, worked for the IRS in California for several years, and then moved on to various positions around the country with the U.S. Forest Service for the rest of her career.  She retired from government service in 2010.
Janet has a keen love of the outdoors and nature, and is an avid hiker and camper.  She also enjoys exploring, biking, river rafting, fishing, and other outdoor activities.  Janet gained her passion and respect for nature and the environment from her parents, who taught her at a very early age about the wonders of the great outdoors.
Janet appreciates the trails and beauty found in Weber County, and is happy to be back in Ogden to enjoy them.  She joined the Weber Pathways Board of Directors in early 2016, and looks forward to working with the great people on the Board, local entities, and the public to further the mission of the Organization.
