melisa harrison in her Natural Habitat
It all started when we decided to ask each other some questions…
Weber Pathways: Why are non-motorized trails/pathways important to you?
Melisa Harrison: Non-motorized trails provide an enjoyable and safe place for me to exercise and be outdoors, enjoy nature, and fresh air.
WP: What aspect of your favorite recreational activity excites you most?
MH: The peace and serenity of being outdoors and enjoying the surrounding beauty.
WP: What is your favorite recreational piece of gear you’ve ever owned?
MH: Santa Cruz 29er Mountain Bike - total game changer for me!
WP: What place in Weber County do you want to spend more time recreating at?
MH: There is not a bad view in Ogden Valley. Anywhere you run, bike, boat, fish, or ski is pristine. I would love to see all kinds of paved trails developed as more development occurs. People all over the Wasatch Front recreate here and developing and preserving as much recreation as possible serves us all well.
WP: How are you making Weber County a better place to walk, run, and ride in?
MH: I'm trying to gain support of businesses and community members for supporting pathways and open spaces.
