The trailhead is on 7450 East off Highway 39, near the entrance to the Jefferson Hunt Campground.

Trail history:
These trails are named after Jens and Mamie Winter, who established a small resort and picnic grove here. One of the trails in an old campground loop. The other is the old highway into Huntsville.
