Call For Spring/Summer 2012 Featured

Do you love to get out on the trails? Do you love to share your passion for the outdoors with others? We are in search of volunteers to leading others on trail-oriented outings that could include hiking, mountain biking, dog walks, snowshoeing, and anything else non-motorized! Outings can also be themed or educationally oriented such as history, flora, fauna, "moonlight hikes", geology, geocaching, photography, etc. Volunteers can also lead outings specific for adults, kids, or families. Volunteers will get to choose what type of outing they would like to lead, the time and date of the outing, and how often they would like to lead outings (even once is ok!). Volunteers can also choose to lead outing series’ (Examples would include our “Get-In-Shape” series and our “Wasatch 100” series, where participants will have hiked over 100 miles by the end of the summer). All volunteers will attend a volunteer orientation before the start of the 2012 season. Training will cover safety, flora/fauna, trail etiquette, and trail descriptions. If you are new to the trails but would still like to volunteer, we will take you out on the trails to familiarize you with where you choose to lead your outing(s). As a public outings leader, you will be an important part in developing a stronger, healthier, more environmentally-friendly community. Contact us today to join our team of volunteers!
